West Seattle Performing Arts will be closed December 22nd - January 5th. The Fall Term will resume on January 6th for 3 weeks. Look for spring registration to be open January 1st.
Dress Code
Ballet
Dresscode for Female-Identifying Students
Leotard: Must be in a color suitable for the Level as specified in the handbook.
Tights: Should be pink or flesh-colored, translucent, and matte (avoid shiny or Lycra materials). Ensure they are free from holes or runs, and do not wear underwear underneath the tights.
Technique Shoes: Ballet slippers can be made of canvas (leather is required for performances), must match the color of the tights, and should be secured with a single elastic strap.
Pointe Shoes: Required for Level 5B and above. The color of pointe shoes should coordinate with the color of the tights.
Dresscode for Male-Identifying Students
Leotard: Wear a short-sleeved white leotard or a form-fitting white t-shirt.
Tights: Must be opaque black. Short cut-off tights or shorts are not permitted at any time.
Socks: Wear thin white crew-length dance socks (tube socks are not allowed).
Technique Shoes for Levels CD-III: Ballet slippers should be white leather, secured with a single elastic strap.
Technique Shoes for Other Levels: Ballet slippers should be white, with canvas being optional (leather required for performances), and secured with a single elastic strap.
Dance Belts: Required for Level I and above.

Contemporary

Tights: Black leggings.
Shoes: Ballet flats, socks, any nude/thin footwear.
Lyrical
Attire: Any exercise clothing.
Shoes: Ballet flats, socks, any nude/thin footwear.
Jazz
Leotard: Must be in a color suitable for the Level as specified in the handbook.
Tights: Tan colored (see handbook).
Shoes: Black slip on jazz shoes.
Tap
Leotard: Must be in a color suitable for the Level as specified in the handbook.
Tights: Black leggings.
Shoes: Black Tap shoes and white socks
Hip-Hop
Attire: Any exercise clothing.
Shoes: Clean Sneakers (Not your everyday street shoes)
